Oh. Easy. I'm fairly sure they drop this out of the anime, but in the manga, Shindara is the former Sarutobi Sasuke who defected and went to the Mibu's side. The wee Sasuke we know and love took his name. *probably should have let Cho explain*

Now, run along and read the manga. The anime is inferior in every way.
