The anime is inferior in every way.
Except, perhaps, for the extra lines between Yukimura and Saizo in the "I'm gonna enter this tournament in disguise...crossdressed! Go get me some girly clothes" scene, which was perhaps my favorite bit in the entire anime. ;)
