The 15-Word Ficlet Meme!

I most recently saw this at nouvellebrielle's, although I know I've seen it other places as well. This was a real pain - sort of like doing a crossword puzzle and writing drabbles at the same time:

Write down the names of 10 characters. Write a fic of fifteen words or less for every prompt, using the characters determined by the numbers. Do NOT read the prompts before you do step 1.

My characters were:

Balalaika (Black Lagoon) Manji (Blade of the Immortal) Eda (Black Lagoon) Sanada Yukimura (SDK) Sanzo (Saiyuki)

Gojyo (Saiyuki) Onime-no-Kyo (SDK) Hakkai (Saiyuki) Revy (Black Lagoon) Matsumoto Rangiku (Bleach)

I'll freely admit that I gave up on my first run. Then I used random numbers to re-sort the same list and got some really great crack. Can anybody guess which prompt+characters made me squee most?
 

First Time, 4 and 6 (Sanada Yukimura and Gojyo)

Not a woman. Then a hot tongue licked down his belly, and Gojyo stopped worrying.
 

Angst, 7 (Onime-no-Kyo)

Kyo weakly raised his head and saw Yuya, a too-familiar mark marring her chest.
 

AU, 1 and 8 (Balalaika and Hakkai)

"So," said the star commander grimly. "You seek a suicide mission?"

"Just so," answered Hakkai.
 

Threesome, 3, 6, 9 (Eda, Gojyo, Revy)

Revy couldn't look away as Eda straddled the rakish redhead. Their lecherous grins were identical.
 

Hurt/Comfort, 5 and 10 (Sanzo, Rangiku)

"Is that better?" Rangiku crooned. Sanzo smacked her hand away. "I'm not hurt there, pervert!"
 

Crack, 1 (Balalaika)

Balalaika appeared, a vision in crinolined pink silk and Valenciennes lace, her hands clasped demurely.
 

Horror, 10 (Rangiku)

As the shambling shadow advanced on her, Rangiku raised Haineko threateningly: "Not one step further!"
 

Baby Fic, 5 and 9 (Sanzo and Revy)

"I don't do diapers," said Sanzo, flatly.

"Fuck it, and I do?" Revy snarled back.
 

Dark, 2 and 8 (Manji and Hakkai)

"Damn, don't stop!" gasped Manji.

Hakkai, shuddering, again squeezed the living heart in his hand.
 

Romance, 4 and 7 (Sanada Yukimura and Onime-no-Kyo)

"Ahhh!" said Yukimura: "Okunomatsu sake! I love you!"

Kyo smirked as he lit his pipe.
 

Death Fic, 2 and 3 (Manji and Eda)

Eda's breathing was ragged: "Hey, Manji ... did I get that bastard?"

"Yeah, babe, you did."

EEEEEE. There is so much love in this. And seriously, I can't stop squeeing that you got Kyo and Sanada Yukimura under romance. I pair them all over in SDK, but that's one that will never have enough fic written, IMO.

My other favourites are First Time (Gojyo really had that one coming) and Hurt/Comfort. There is something beautiful about Sanzo/Rangiku, and her feeling him up all over the place except where she's supposed to.

Can anybody guess which prompt+characters made me squee most?

I'm guessing the Yukimura/Gojyo (finally, you wrote some!) and Yukimura/Kyo? (And did Hakkai really get randomly assigned to be 8? Bwah!)

Now I kind of desperately want to see a Saiyuki/Black Lagoon crossover. (Banri in particular would fit in perfectly in the worst Roanapur dives.) I'm not sure the Balalaika crack is all that cracky, though...she is quite the ladylike near-sociopathic mob boss, after all! Maybe that ensemble's a little more froufrou than her usual sleek dress sense but if she had sufficient reasons of plot, you never know...and those frilly petticoats would probably do a bang-up job of concealing some easy-access heavy firepower in thigh holsters. It's hard to come up with something more insane than the existing omake... ;)
