Yes, I was thinking something along those lines, although not so clearly about the Buddhism aspect: Gojyo is so very much at ease with himself physically that the whole experience would just be an unselfconscious pleasure, and then the contrast that made with Sanzo ... your comments really crystallized what's going on there, even for me.
