Yeah, poor Sanzo has his little issues ... I have a feeling he's terribly aware of the physical attractiveness of his comrades, but a happy love life just isn't in his future. (What I most wish for him is to gain his master's level of appreciation for the world while being unaffected by it, but Sanzo has a lo-o-ong road ahead of him for he gets to that ... .) There's an attractive tension between him and Gojyo, but it's no fun (IMO) if it gets resolved! (BTW, have you seen Burning, by louiselux, a much hotter take on the same pairing?)
I really love Gojyo - his endless outward physical self-confidence and cockiness, and inner self-doubts and kindness. When I read devikun's story, it seemed to me that although he'd probably complain a lot about being landed with the laundry, once he actually had to do it, he'd do it with the same slapdash enthusiasm he brings to 'most everything else he does - especially because it would make Hakkai happy ... and the story just grew from there.
