Yes, this was tough! I have gay friends, and so I don't want to do anything stupid from that viewpoint, but I also wanted to keep it interesting for our fangirls. And I have a feeling that this may not have been the Hakkai angst that the requester wanted - there wasn't anything about Kannan. But this is what came out when I started thinking about the two of them together.
Sanzo's ice princess aspect is very hot and tempting, but for me, it goes away if he's in a regular relationship. And it's also not the choice that he's made - his religion is important to him, in his own way.

I had an earlier, much milder one involving Sanzo and Gojyo, too.
