I haz sholoch manot! I was certainly not shocked to discover that my purimgifts were by lady_ganesh! I have a wry and appropriately violent Black Lagoon piece and two sweet Saiyuki vignettes (actually, one is a series of mini-vignettes) .

Stress Relief - while the usual mayhem erupts above his head on deck, Benny keeps the boat together and mentally pens a letter home to his father in Florida. And it came with a noisy icon!

And it is a shiny new piece of Gentlemen of the Road fic. It's a buddy hurt-comfort story that manages to be surprisingly tender without selling out Zelikman's bitter cynicism nor Amram's world-weariness. And there are horses (we find out where Hillel came from) and a cave and storytelling and bittersweet memories. It's really wonderful and quite Chabon-esque!
